Hi Redstar, I am so envious, it looks a beautiful place to visit. My inlaws travel the world and they are now in their 80s with dodgey hips, knees etc!

There are so many lovely places to visit :)

I love the big blue skies in the video.

Before I retired one of the girls I worked with gave me a Christmas present of the book 'One Thousand Places To See Before You Die'. Although we don't use the book to plan any holidays we check off the places we have been. We have nearly reached 300. not quite as hard as it seems as there are 10 in London, 10 in Paris etc. also, I spent a few years in the Merchant Navy. :thumb:

Some of the places in the book I wouldn't go to even if you paid me. Actually, that's not true. Pay me enough and I would go :hehe: (£100 might be enough :rotfl:).

Peri, here are some links to threads I have put on here (you said that you wanted to see more) :).

I don't seem to get enough time to work at putting more on but hope to eventually get round to doing it.

i have that book One Thousand Places To See Before You Die'. Have not gone through it for where I've been. However, I found a nice gem of a place near me in that book that never knew about, have not gone to it yet, only an hour drive to it too. I guess what I am saying is ---the book helps you discover places you've don't know about ---dah. And also unique places that are not the typical "tourist" attractions. But it is subjective.
