We don't do all inclusive as local restraurants cafe/tavernas all lose custom while people stay in one hotel all day everyday for food but this is what they want (due to cost as eating out can be very expensive) so the tour operators encourage it. My brother has seen many tavernas close in Crete where he lives due to this but I can see both sides of the problem.
Having said that, I hope you have a great time Al.

I hope the weather improves for you Sal, the flight is long enough without any delays as well.

Most welcome to stay with Julie and I, but it is a basic clean double bedroom,in a Scottish terraced house (basic)
I will provide full Scottish breakfast, the rest you will have to eat out or get a take away in/DIY, Basic kitchen, ie cooker, microwave, deepfat frier, airfryer and hob

I was hoping to put you in Aunties mansion overlooking the Forth and Edinburgh castle en suite, only she is 80 just now, and I do not know how long before your visit
As if she goes I can not afford to buy the other five out so the home will be lost

My home is Clean but basic terraced house (in a street)

We have a timeshare in a 5* hotel in Madeira, where we go every last Monday in November for a week. I would'nt change it for the world. It has become our second home.:wub2:

Decided to give camping on Exmoor a miss this coming Easter Holiday, and I expect we're not the only ones. Some great tides for sea fishing this coming weekend, but neither I/my family would enjoy that, nor anything else in this sort of weather.

          Hi O2,
Madeira is a lovely place. :blue thumb: We've just returned from a very impromptu week out there where we met up with some of Mrs Shiney's family. A great time and, luckily, very good weather. For the ten days before we went they had very unseasonal bad weather.

We stayed in a very nice hotel that I know well and we get a special deal which is cheap for what we get but not a 'cheap' holiday. Is your place in Funchal?

My colleague at work has booked a stay in a static caravan over the Easter weekend, on the east coast near Gt. Yarmouth. Wife and three kids included.
The forecast weather for the holiday weekend appears to be more of the same.
          Good luck with that.

Had an enjoyable, if rather damp holiday wandering around Nidderdale in Yorkshire last week.
A few photos we took around this beautiful area.

A lovely pastoral scene at sunset, overlooking Pateley Bridge.

The beautiful, atmospheric ruins of Fountains Abbey on a cold, rainy day. In some ways the weather seemed to give an eerie, almost ghostly feel to the place.
