I'm taking early retirement in a couple of weeks and my youngest will have finished his GCSEs so for the first time we can take a cheap family holiday out of season, we are all going to Center Parc Sherwood Forest in July. Then hoping to spend some time in Scarborough at my sister's new holiday flat :thumb:

Vicky, I presume you changed your mind about Madeira:(
It has been cleaned up very quickly.
I would go next year but Morocco is getting in the way.:)

    :) Hiya strongy

I just had an e-mail from my (our) exotic forum about the Madeira trip the third week in April when a group are meeting up for the Flower Fesitival. Sadly it is the week before my birthday/anniverary where we are booked up at the castle.

Another time .... some friends want to go in June so maybe ..................

No doubt you will get there one day. I would like to see the flower festival so a return visit is on our 'list'.

Since I work at Milan airport, I cannot go on holidays at the times when people use to go (easter holidays, summer, etc.).
On those periods, the airports are very busy and we the airport-workers have no holidays....
Accordingly I have just had one-week holiday at the and of february.
I spent it in Bavaria (Germany).
In this german region, I recomend the "Neuschwanstein Castle".
It is like the castle of the fairy-tales (snowhite, cindarella, the sleeping beauty, etc.).
Then I will have a two-weeks holiday on early june.
It's too "cold" to spent it at the seaside.
At that time, the sun is hot but the sea temperature is cold... (unless I go to the caribeans).
So I think that I will visit an european capital city.
    I have not decided yet.
Maybe Amsterdam or London or Madrid or Berlin or Hannover or Kiev or Moscow...
