        Here's a few pics of Cuba where I was on holiday 3 weeks ago. My life long friend and I have a annual fishing holiday in Rutland but have talked into the dark hours nursing a glass of whiskey talking "treason" and about our ambition to go Game Fishing for years and years without any real conviction that we would be able to do it. But this year we managed it:

        The entrance to the Hotel Swimming Pool. The temperature varied between 37c and 41c so the pool was much needed!!:rolleyespink:

        In the evening it was still in the 70f!!

        One of the fishing boats following us out to sea. The normal hiring time for one of these boats is 4 hours. We asked for a boat and the same crew for 3 days and for 8 hours a day......they thought we were "crazy Englishmen" but the crew loved being hired for so long.

        The guy in the Speed boat was coming to bring us Lunch!!

        The first one......left me shattered and exhausted after a 45 minute fight.

        This one didn't take so long, caught by my mate.....lovely colours on the fish.

        A sad tale to this boat as the owners limped into Cuba with a busted engine and didn't have the money to repair, and so they've left it where it is.

        Now I wouldn't go out in this boat for love or money but these guys...!!! We saw this boat and the same guys later on while we were fishing 16 miles off shore picking up fish from their fishing lines floating out at sea. Brave men!!!

        I think the owner of this boat had gone for a rum and coke and a siesta. This was at the entrance to the Mangroves.

        Didn't see many modern cars but there were plenty of these old ones, plus horse and cart.

        We had a great time, plenty of fishing, including a walk through the Jungle during one afternoon with a guide to get to some wild shore fishing in 41c and a walk back through the Jungle in the dark with only head torches in temperatures around 37c. That's when I decided I was getting old!!!!:old::snork:

            Well, Armandii, was not to far from you last two weeks. We were in Key West , Florida for our yearly visit. Enjoyable stay, lots of gatherings with friends, snorkle trip, fishing, shopping, costume party =husband won first place and relaxing. Back to work this Monday.

                shall update my blog and pop some pictures here
                turkey was great
                we went to Dalyan and saw the turtles and tombs, then to Ephesis and Pamukkale
                (to see what i missed on our honey moon < GRRRR Meniers >) but pleased to say i saw it all and it was just stunning and beautiful,
                we did a few boat trips, i went snorkling and fishing but mostly it was just lovely to spend two whole weeks with my husband, and to catch up with friends we have made their :dbgrtmb:
                catching up with myself now so shall spend some time on here ( to wet to be outside lol)

                        It is a stunning place and the people are just so friendly, but i have to admit whilst we did have a good dose of sun shine it actually rained most of the first week and was quite over cast on quite a few days in the second,( my daughetr said it was hotter here than it was there) we just made the most of what it was, after all once you are in the sea or pool you are wet anyways lol
