Send me £22 and your address and I can arrange for them to drop on your doormat within about 3 days! Simples!
Joking aside, it is pretty easy to get signed up with ebay especially if you could find someone to guide you through it. The first few purchases are a bit nerve-wracking waiting for the stuff to arrive but after hundresd of successful transactions I don't give it a thought now. It would save you quite a bit of money if you eat a lot of protein bars.

    snip:

cranberry juice has been used to promote urinary tract health for generations but new research suggests that it may encourage the formation of the most common type of kidney stones

If your friend used to very fit and now he is not thats nothing to do with his previous life weight training or exercising...unless he was on drugs. I think it far more likely after years of training he just decided to let himself go, maybe his wife left him who knows but its nothing to do with his training. Alot of males, especially athletes loose motivation when they are past their prime look at Ricky Hatton its no reason to say he should never have bothered. It was his drink and drugs and age that wrecked the end of his career not his career.

I remember seeing in a magazine a few years ago a picture of Arny when he was in the terminator film naked. Another picture of him as he is now at the age of 70 or summet on a beech on holiday and the caption was something like "look at him now!!
He is a pensioner for godsake give him a break ofcourse his body has gone to mush. People who say "oh all that muscle will turn to fat when he gets older" are funny too coz thats bull!!

the problem that I have seen with people who push weights, is that they adapt their eating habits and thus, eat loads ... they look great whilst they stick to the regime

when they stop gym, they baloon and pick up loads of weight in quick time, ... I've seen that happen to many ... and seen that with some of my close mates when they were in their mid 30's

it cannot be healthy for you ... you need to sweat out the toxins, and get fit and build endurance .... have you ever seen a bodybuilder try and run on a treadmill at the gym? .... they huff and they puff and you can see that they are not healthy

if you are going to do bodybuilding, combine it with lots of cardio excercise aswell ... that's my opinion, but I'm no expert

I bet he still looked better than the average 70 year old.

Most people have fat on them as they get older due to modern lifestyles. I'd much prefer to see fat on top of a muscular frame than fat on top of a flaccid, toneless body. That's never a good look.

And muscle cannot "turn to fat". It is a scientific impossibility. Body fat is accumulated through excess calorie consumption and no other reason.

I think it's reasonable to say that people who exercise hard and eat properly, and continue to do this throughout their lives look younger than their years despite the aging process.

Sudden weight loss can make people look more noticeably haggard because it's a quick change, but they are probably no more haggard than they would have been in the first place.

It was different times back then to be fair. It was the late 80's early 90's. The motto was a rather stupid, "No pain, no gain", which of course nowadays we know should really be "No pain, not as much long term physical damage to your muscles, ligaments, cartilages, and vital organs" but unfortunately that will never catch on because unlike the 80's one, it doesn't just roll off the tongue:)

Anyway, don't take health advice off me, I'm not an expert, just picked up a few things here and there. Good luck in your endeavours. Just don't go and bust yourself up over it is all I'm saying.
