Holly hedge - suitable to border a public footpath?

    Well i think thats a little harsh considering were liveing in a compensation culture now where people sue over stupid little things
    id probably have said something similar it might just be he didnt wanna have to trimm it :lollol:

    As far as I know, I've never had a puncture from a holly leaf, and I've cycled over thirty thousand miles since Christmas 1997. But this is something else.

    This is a load of utter nonsense..... what next warnings outside your house stateing your car croses the pavment.

    Just plant the damned hedge, You are perfectly in your rights and anything to the contary is a load of tosh. I cut dozens of prickly hedges bordering pavements/ roads and have planted many...... Never even heard of a problem let alone experienced one.

    The only pree requesit as mentioned already is that it doesnt encroach over the boundary.

    Who gives a stick about biycicle punctures, no real problem if you clean up properly and put out cones when you cut.

    As for dead leaves, causeing a puncture.... your more likely to be fatally hit by a falling conker.
