Homebase to close 25% of stores by Feb 2018

    Even when Homebase have their 10% and 15% off on special occasions..You are still not really getting a bargain..

      Aside from the consequent job losses I think this is great news. They sell a range of junk. If I need anything for DIY I go to Wickes as I've never found anything useful in Homebase.

      I don't do DIY, I'm a GSI person. :blue thumb: :heehee:

      I only resort to DIY in an emergency - or for something very simple.

        they've just closed our local homebase and converting in to a b&m's.
        i used to used homebase a lot has it was handy for bits and pieces, has b&q and screwfix are on the other side of town.
        if i need any building material i go to my local builders merchant

        I've read reports of stock being sold off at closing Homebase stores with 20 - 50% off.

          I always liked Homebase their plants always seemed in better shape than in B & Q, I think the problem is people buying online instead. My nearest Homebase/B & Q is in Hereford which is too far to travel, but I don't miss those shops at all. I can get what I want online.
