Been playing on mine today. The soft lush green sward was perfect to sit on too :snorky:

I think if lawns were always to go yellow and brown in summer I would use the space for more plants, a bigger pool, a new patio, etc. A burnt lawn in summer isnt fit for purpose, is it? :noidea:

This drought here while there is no ban on a hose has been hard on my fishery. It’s 9 acres and it’s about to be closed due to the drop in the water table.
A few years back we had a real bad winter where 25% of fish stock was lost due to gases but other local lakes lost up too 100%. With a 7 figure stock it’s scary but it’s the risk that’s associated with fisheries.

I’m Bucks down in the South East. It will all turn out ok, nothing I can do sadly but we have a large pump system going to aid aeration to help the fish but with the drop and water temps it’s not good for the fish to be caught while they are under stress.

But Woo, you have only just sorted the lawn out - surely a good heavy shower will green it up again?

:phew:....it`s getting too hot out there, I`ve been mulching, will be glad when I`ve had enough :rolleyespink:
                                Here`s an area I cleared

Notice how wet it is ;) @ARMANDII .....(hose at bottom of illustration)
Then I lugged a bag of peat plus from the other side of the garden, almost killing myself into the bargain, and opened it..... with my scissors ...;)

It has a wonderful aroma akin to cow poo (which unfortunately does not linger long)
