    That is a great article, Rumple. Great to see that some people care!
    I am pleased to say that the council have decided it is safe to allow the tree to remain- even if it dies it will be useful according to Rumples' article!
    Meanwhile the teenagers who used the seat beneath this tree as a 'hanging out' place have been erecting a form of 'woodhenge' from the longer bits of timber in the pile- will be interesting to see if this is removed....

    Oh Thank You Liz, I'm glad you liked it. I found it heartening that so many people are giving it a lot of thought. But what a wonderful involvement of the teenagers - how nice that a tree gets their imaginations going. Well done tree - an inspiration to us all. Trees really do touch lives.
