    Hi again Mike,

I hope you are well, perhaps as well it would be worth speaking to an advisor from age concern regarding a good equity release scheme-if it is a financial concern you have that is. I would imagine they of all people would be able to at least steer you away from the real sharks out there.

If it is of a companionship issue, not wanting to be alone in a big house etc then if you have any family, I would imagine they are just waiting to help-even though they do have a tendency to barge in and take over.

I think it is definitely the best option to consider what Tweaky mentioned about companies which pay you regularly to let their employees stay on a very short term basis.

I realise that what you will need most at this timeis information firstly and I think age concern would probably be the best place to get the sort of intricate information you need.

Be aware that there are unscrupulous people out there who would take advantage of someone in your situation ( i am sure you are fully aware of this so I beg your pardon).

The more good and sound advice you can get the better.

    God Bless

When my mother decided to go into a home I had to rent her place out to help pay for it. I did company lets and they were very successful but that was renting the whole place out. I don't know how it works for using part of the house.

    Good luck :)

I now there's always flyers on the wall of our school staffroom asking for people to host students. They always offer two seperate prices - one with meals and one without. As you have done this before, you know what you are letting yourself in for, and know the procedures. It sounds like there are always students needing accommodation - so maybe there is a compromise in there somewhere (main meal included, but not breakfast/beds/laundry etc)?

Hope it went well in town yesterday though! :)
