Mrs LawnAndOrder expresses her gratitude for your regular supply of ammunition; she wonders if, before retiring to warmer climes, you might have been connected to the Nations Unies.

For my part, I shall certainly mull over the various points you make.

Here also, they go for the frogs but they only seem to eat the eyes and leave the rest to the lawn … you eat the legs, of course …

Now there’s a bit of parallel thinking that had not occurred to us.

Well, there never was a liner but, anyway, bodging is what we do best!

Actually, there is a roofing supplies Co near us; we'll sound them out about this product.

By the way, Mrs Lao says she doesn't mind the level being as it is ... but that has never been an option.

I've used Sticks like Sh** to fix a piece of lead to my stone waterfall, its still there after about 3 months but I know that's not long, it also works under water and sticks to damp surfaces, obviously it needs to be a clean surface as it would with all types of coating.

Not sure it would stick very well to rubber or things that are moving all the time.

A kind friend brought me some of that to try in my attempts to dry-line the pool pump house with polystyrene sheets. It seemed to work very well for about 15 months but I'm coming unstuck now, as they're falling off the ceiling  Nails and screws, you can't beat 'em

Apologies - I didn't realise it was concrete. I think re doing the concrete is probably the easiest solution. The alternative is starting from scratch...
I've also used Sticks like ***t. I repaired a very important [to me] large stone container which had split due to weather over the years. It's been grand. The surfaces have to be clean and solid, but I don't know how well it would work for you in the situation you have. You'd still need a liner of some kind and would have to either find the leak, or cover a big enough area to be sure of sealing it well enough.
I found it quite difficult to get out the tube, but I think it's available in different formats too.

I wondered if it was duckweed. I've never had it in any pond I've had, but it can be brought in on plants, and in some areas it can be a real problem.

THAT deserves more than a mere ticked emoji. I thought we’d exhausted this vein of absurdities, but you go deeper still; it took a linguistic double take to detect the fiendishshly clever bilingual mishspelling!! Well worthy of the hidden depths of a pond forum!

In my garden I've had duckweed appear in the little pools of rainwater that gathered on my dustbin handles.
