You will get on with my wife, she had this hand made a few years ago, dragged me to a Bosworth field one day, she had lots of books think we throw them out when we moved here.

Ooooo I love that targe Jack! I came very close to buying one just two weeks ago but thought it was over priced. I'll bide my time and will have one hanging on a wall at some point.:)

The only time I visited Edinburgh was as a child with my parents many moons ago, something I must do again to appreciate it. The Museum there sounds interesting and now on my to do list when I manage to get there.

As a point of interest.... there is serious discussion here about turning Inverness Castle into a Clans museum, that will be a boon as it's currently used as local government offices.

@martin-f not been to Bosworth. Would like to go one day. I'm sure you're wife and I would have plenty to talk about. I take it she is an ardent Yorkist.

@Sheal My wife once made me a targ and sword out of cardboard. They were great. Sadly we agreed to threw them away when we cleaned out the shed a while back. I still have some of my props just in case I ever need them again.

      G.

Ps. @Sheal The train to Edinburgh runs regularly and directly. Just jump on one and see where you get. ;)

I will but not before next year. :) I've only lived here in Scotland ten months and am busy house hunting at the moment.

I will never forget the first statement to me when I "first" introduced myself. Something like, "I hope you just don't ask questions and go away".

I used to watch a children's tv show called "A Bear Behind." That's a very strange concept for a kid's show. From what I remember the female presenter was quite cute. Then again, so are all female presenters when you're a horny teenager. I'm glad to say I've grown out of it now.
