Yes found this via a google search...along with other gardening forums. What made me pick this one was (although it has less members than another) its activity, i.e. there were more current posters.

        Hi,
I found you via Google too. I typed in UK Gardening Forum. I've recently moved into a house with quite an established garden and I don't know what most of the plants are so I'm looking to learn.

Hi, I was searching for the time of year to take Bowles Mauve cuttings. You were 8th in the list. I think I will find a lot of gardening knowledge here :dbgrtmb:

I was looking for when to take Bowles Mauve cuttings, if April would be ok. You were 8th in line.

Welcome Mum's Garden. I've taken Bowles Mauve cuttings at many times during the year and visitors often just take a bit too. They usually strike so I'd say go ahead if your plant looks strong enough.

Hi folks, I googled 'aldi compost' and your site came up first with a thread discussing aldi's compost 3 years ago (I decided on B&Q's). I read it and then read a discussion about scarifying lawns and thought I should really join this site.

As of yesterday I am now a bonefide gardener. All I ever did was mow the grass. South facing front lawn which is lush and a dark patchy mossy back garden. I am a complete novice and could hardly take the bedding plants out of the pots to re plant them in my collection of empty pots.

I probably won't have much to say or contribute to but I will happily hang around in the background reading up on hints and tips and learning.

Thank you and a warm hello.
