How did you get into gardening?

We moved out of a town to get my son into a better school in the countryside. But with the house came a 5th of an acre of garden. So i decided to try and maintain. By 18 months I had totall rehashed, and got to know so many plants. I left my office job as a manicured, slimmish, office clerk and became a scruffy, filthy gardener, with muck on the face and hard calloused hands with broken nails and muscles to put arnie to shame. I only have one regret, that i didn't start a lot younger and change careers years ago. since we have moved again to a larger plot and I have just got it sorted for this year.
