Read catalogues, order seeds and bulbs. Read gardening books and websites for ideas and answers. Plan next years planting.
Non gardening stuff like decorating, housework ie remove spider webs, put things away, throw out old gardening magazines, tidy garage, read books, listen to music, get Christmas and the New Year out of the way.
Outside, weather permitting, enjoy the winter colours, prune fruit bushes and trees, weed when possible, keep greenhouse and cold frame tidy etc.
I'll be glad when March arrives and the garden gives me an excuse to have a rest.

I have been once Val it was OK if a little pricey, I wanted to try the chippy nearby but I think it was a sunday and that was shut. Mrs JWK has been to it a couple of times, she is a book fanatic and loves Hay !

My fav bit about gardening is tidying and weeding

So since most of the tidying is done and im not weeding in the rain

Gonna do it in my house everything is going to get organised and put in the right place and if it doesn't have a home i will find it a home

But then i will also be making crocheted garden products for my shop so lots of pots and hanging baskets and more trellises so that they can be listed in spring

I do the jobs inside while the weather is bad. After the tumble dryer set alight on Thursday evening I now have the utility to decorate over Christmas break. This was actually planned to do over the winter anyway, but has now become more important. After that is done I have the bedrooms to do. If the weather is ok over a few weekends I will lay a few paths, clean out shed and garage and finalise plans for the garden next year and obtain all seeds required.

I turn to gardening indoors hydroponically during the winter, growing salad greens, beet greens and our favorite, Swiss chard.

I am decorating from top to bottom at the moment. It has needed doing for a long time now and, as I can only do a little bit at a time, it may not be finished by spring! I am also catching up on my sewing, candle making and soap making. The dogs seem to take up the rest of my time. :)

Read gardening books and magazines (over and over again), watch gardening videos (over and over again) :rolleyespink:, plan and re-plan, keep a watch for things to start poking through the soil, delight in the first snowdrops and the winter jasmine, watch the birds enjoying the fat balls, snuggle by the fire, peruse GC (when I remember ) and before you know it it's February and time to start sowing...

Winter I find is a time to look at plants I've never grown before and read up about to see if I can grow them. Plan garden for next year and see what else I can squeeze in lol.. I don't get time to be bored. That is one thing I've found with Alzheimer's I have to wright down all I want to plant and the websites that tell me how to grow it But it keeps me happy and busy

Still cutting back, weeding, have just mowed six lawns and need to start digging out ivy from the area where we had eleven conifers removed. Gardening is never finished but it's curtailed a lot by the weather and the lack of light.
