I will proberbly regret this,but what is the significance of the word Japonica, I see it used in more than one instance.......

And what's odd about "japonica" is that the Greeks and Romans, as far as I know, had no knowledge of Japan.... so somebody's been making up words !!

You know the song :"je t'aime,moi non plus"...:has that "non plus" the meaning of "aussi"?
"non plus" is it not supposed to be in answer to a negative question?
