Music. You asked how far my garden is behind. Well, it's the same as last year. 10' behind the house. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

3/4 Weeks behind , to think my baskets normally go out about 10 May I cant see that happening this year.

Laburnum still not in bud yet
Apple trees maybe another week to flower, but I dont mind being last after being caught out with the frost last year
Cherry trees at least another week
The gorse where I keep the bees was nearly 3 weeks late opening as well.

Watching Beechgrove they said they where 5 weeks behind.

I bet we are all the same greenhouse fit to bursting and its just too cold to plant bedding etc even the tough stuff.

I just feel sorry for those trying to get ready for Chelsea - must be a nightmare.

Normally they put plants in cold storage to hold them back its the opposite this year for most plants

Do you know I hadn't even thought of that! I wonder how they're getting round it? More use of polytunnels etc perhaps?

I went to the RHS Cardiff flower show two years ago and most of the tree peonys had gone over , mine are still in the mid-bud stage.
Avon bulbs sent me a news letter saying how tough it has been for them trying to get plants flowering for the Cardiff show , I know work colleagues who went they said it wasn't as colorful as last year !!

I would say four to five weeks here. I can gauge it here by the Cherry trees on the TT. course, they have usually finished blooming a week and a half before it starts, which is the last Saturday in May. So far there is no sign of them blooming. The bikers really don't need these trees shedding flowers around them when they're travelling at speeds of up to 150mph.

Meanwhile my daffs are in full bloom still and they would be almost finished by now. :)
