Yes, I confess, I am a long standing Pentax fan and, for me, they stand above the crowd of Canons, Nikons, Samsung, Sony, Olympus:dunno::heehee:

I think camera's are a personal thing, it's what we feel comfortable with that makes them our own. I used to think the same about fountain pens years ago and like the pen I would never let another person use my cameras.....apart from my son who respects the fact they are mine as a photographer himself. :)

I think perhaps the shot is to close @wiseowl and it's creating distortion of the bees image. For me the sepia tone doesn't work, sorry!

That's the sort of image I was thinking of when I chose the theme for Feb's competition.

I'd be hard pushed to find a shot like that @Scrungee, it was taken in Columbus, Ohio!

Hi Sheal, I wouldn't withdraw it.... I think it is a great photo and probably one of the best at the moment :)

I just love the photo your son has taken, reflections are great and I like the blue tones. I'm no expert but I may have cropped it a little on the left hand side to the first pillar ... but that's just my opinion, he's very talented and must take after his Mum :)

Thank you Apple Blossom. It's the photography on my picture I'm not happy with, not the subject. :) I don't want to say much else here while the competition is still in progress, if you don't mind.

My son, like me prefers his shots to be as natural as possible and very rarely alters them. He doesn't take after me, it's the other way around. :snorky: He's had camera's for a long, long while but I've only had mine for three years. :)

Thank you Armandii, I just hope I can keep that 'eye' going. I have eye problems now and am gradually turning my camera's back to automatic functioning as I have problems with focusing and certain types of light. I'm not giving up though!

Geezer has given sports photography a go. The men were in poor lighting, with my new secondhand camera. I did the womens team on a better day (cloudy, but sun at times) with my older camera.

I should add, that the ladies team were excellent. Those girls really go for it. It is worth zooming in, just to see the determination on their faces.
