Its a great effect, very well applied too! I just adore seeing things like this where folk are getting creative. Thanks for posting this Sheal.

Change of theme with regard to what is seen.
One for Spruce, but not a honey bee.

Caught this one day this year and thought it was just my ears hearing the loud buzzing sound. What a gift to see in the hedgerow.

With the moon moving into shadow it's now showing more detail. Exposure here's not quite as I wanted as I meant to bracket three shots and combine them, but aged brain wasn't functioning (I'll blame the cold) and I didn't get bracketed shots.:dunno: moon2.jpg

That's wonderful Dave. It looks so near but I still find it hard to believe men have stepped on it.
Please, why does it look white or more yellow to the naked eye than it does in your photo?

I'm no expert, but I suspect what you see through a telescope, or telescopic lens is closer to the true colour. The naked eye just doesn't detect the shadows as they are too indistinct.

I'm looking forward to seeing some shots from your new camera Steve.
Not used my DSLR for a while, so forgot to add the big weight I suspend from the tripod for lunar shots and also screwed up bracketing. Its age !:old:

When did you take that piccie Steve? What camera and setting needed? Has it been "edited"?

VERY nice Steve, you've captured a bit more detail than I did. Taken last night by the look of the shadow?

Yes it was taken last night using manual mode, 100ISO and F11, but then I set the shutter speed to deliberately underexpose by about a stop, to capture more shadow detail. The focal length was 300mm and it was shot in RAW mode. When converting the RAW to jpeg it had a few minor tweaks as is normal, but nothing major, then it was framed and named in Photoshop.

I couldn't get Wallace and Grommit out of my head hence the name "Cheese"..lol
