It's a sad state when you go looking for your glasses everywhere and find them attached to your face. I'm guilty!

Ryan, welcome to GC :dbgrtmb:. We've had a number of teenagers as members but I don't know how active they are on here.

Some of the members are rather infantile but I couldn't possibly be one of those. :heehee:

My displayed age is not quite true but I feel as though I'm heading that way quite rapidly :(. Some of the time I feel like I'm quite young but that's usually before I get out of bed. The rest of the time I'm a doddery old pensioner :loll:
None of that stops me from getting into the garden amongst the plants and wildlife and I admire you for having got an interest in gardening at your age :yess:

I fell into gardening in my twenties, cleaned all the mud off me and haven't looked back since :hapfeet:

You'll get lots of helpful advice on here - and not just about gardening. Feel free to ask about anything.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner young Ryan and I hope you continue to enjoy the hobby for many a year as I have. MY age is on the page and is real but I can still hold a golf handicap of 16 (it's what I do when I am not gardening),

Being brought up in "outback" of Worcestershire growing food was a necessity and flowers where grown from cuttings swapped with friends and relatives never seeing a garden centre until I was in my 20's compost came from the compost heap and fertiliser came from the muck heap.
Simpler times and it seemed proper seasons.
Retired now from proper work just enjoy pottering around my patch at 58 but due to rheumatoid arthritis feel a bit older some days.

14-year-old boy speaking to a bunch of 'older blokes' on the net? Not suspicious to you, at all? Maybe just me, but I'd be careful if I were you lot.. like inviting him to Scotland can be seen as a bit creepy, in my opinion :D

We're not all 'older blokes' Kyle. If there is anyone to be suspicious about we find them out eventually. There was one just recently and I've got a couple of others in mind at present!

Should we kick him off the forum because he's just a kid? Or should we all leave the forum because we're 'old'?

Its a sad world when we have to be so suspicious of each other. Without knowing the lad other than what he's wrote on the forum, we have to assume that he is 14 year old, and he is here because he likes gardening, and this is a gardening forum.

The remark that someone made about him going up to Scotland to do some digging is what in the pre paranoia era was called 'banter', ie light hearted humour that most people wouldn't take seriously.

The invite to dig was as posted a joke

Beside this 14 yearold has already planted IVY that has grown to the top of a wall and then cut down and other climbers tried

Then has the signature in PINK with a wink WOLFIE

                    Is this WOLFIEKATE ?

She can dig my garden anytime
