Thailand? No idea if it would get through customs, although the sellers would chuck in a phytosanitary certificate
I've found on the ebay, and I even saw it here in uk, but I didn't like the price. I have interesting hoyas to swap cuttings in case someone is interested.
Dunno if you will like this one ... or how you would weight up the risk of confiscation at customs etc. http://toplants.ecrater.co.uk/p/13506104/hoya-serpens I've seen seed offered - does it come true? and is it a very long time to, then, wait for flowers?
I don't know about growing from seeds. Plants and cuttings shouldn't be confiscated at customs if fitocertificate is attached. The main risk - too long time of delivery. An example of friendly prices http://www.aleyagarden.com/hoyacuttings.html
Hello. I'm looking into getting some of these as house plants and need to find a reliable source. Where do people buy their hoyas from ? Has anyone actually ordered from the US ? Thanks
Ahh, sorry I thought the link above was for the US but it is actually Thailand. Have people had good experiences with shipping rooted cuttings from there ? Do they survive the standard shipping ?
It's like a lottery. A couple of my unrooted cutting were 8 days in road, however arrived alive, look to be rooted now, waiting for them to grow.
Thanks Alisa. I should probably start a new thread for this but my mother has a Hoya that belonged to my grandmother and I wanted to get a cutting of that. Problem being that she is in Tasmania in Australia and I am in England. Does anyone know if this is something that I can do ? And if so, how ?
