No, It was a different cruise line, but the Cruise Line were not responsible, missing sailing is your own responsibility, I am fine with that
That is one of the reasons we take the extortionate cruise line excursions, 20% dearer than can be had from the jetty, Only IF the Cruise Lines excursion is late back they wait for it, If it is a DIY job then you miss your boat

My problem is with AIR FRANCE They lied, they caused the delay, and it was they who sent our luggage to the wrong place, causing us great expense and distress. As in having no clothes for the remaining twelve days of a cruise, one does not cruise, with one pair of underpants, no tooth brush or razor, and one T shirt with a pair of jeans
You do not usually sit at the Captains table in that rig, especially when worn for a week first
We could not even get to use the swimming pools or jacquzie, as they take a dim view of naked swimming on the Queens :-)

Having trouble with the Travel insurance now, it states if case is delayed/lost then they will pay £650 per person per case, then if the case has gone forever then make a claim for its contents, However on making the claim it is down to small print, as in £50 up to 48hrs, etc until a week has passed then it is the full payment
Airline have informed them, they misrouted the cases, but they were returned to our home address within 48hrs of reporting them missing. Unfortunately for us, at that time we were not at home but in the middle of the North Atlantic :-( Where our cases were not

    This gets complicated

I would argue that they weren't delivered to you at the place they should have been and it was their responsibility to do so as they had misrouted them in the first place.

Saying that they couldn't find a 100,000 ton famous ship, having been told where it would be, doesn't seem much of a defence to me. They knew that you would be travelling on the ship and would not be at home. Therefore the cases were lost to you for that period of time.

They obviously knew that you were booked on the ship because they admitted that they 'couldn't find it'!

It's a simple matter to find the ship. Google the ship's schedule on the computer and check with the port authority. A kid in primary school could do that.

    Then deliver it there.

Even though you said you were at sea 48 hours after they should have delivered it (don't mention that in any communications with them as it just complicates things - and is irrelevant) they could easily have got it to you if they bothered to access the ship's itinerary.

Lack of care in the first instance (losing your case) and lack of duty of care to attempt to deliver it to you. They knew you were on holiday and, therefore, would not be at home.

Ergo, a delay of over 48 hours.
