This was a cat I found in similar circumstances ... could say he's landed on his feet, eh? And right onto my bed!

My son found one a while ago that had been run over, so he took it the the vets and they put it down and gave my son the bill for his troubles - I think it was £40 to £50 ish. And he lost a morning off work as he'd had to run around finding a vets, he would do it again though I'm sure as he loves cats

He should have refused to pay.

All vets have a commission with the RSPCA to deal with injured animals and wildlife.

I take it he did actually tell the vet is wasn't his cat and he'd just brought it in out of kindness?

Yes he told the vet he'd just found it on the road, no idea who's it was. Interesting about the RSPCA scheme, seems the vets took advantage of his good nature.

Hi ydd, I had to laugh at your first couple of pics, just like I would take, lol. The last one is good though & she certainly doesn't look like a stray does she, although with the care you've been taking of her it's no wonder! I hope you get it sorted soon cos as good as she looks I'll bet you're worrying about her when you're not there, come on be honest:)

    cheers

Willow is so cute Daisy, reminds me of one I had that I placed in a nice home, I called her Inkey.
Do you always feed her wet food? Dry cat food is recommended, better for their teeth, keeps teeth clean. And you don't have to worry about the dry attracting any thing thats left over, or put in the fridge, just leave the dry out all day. I have nine cats.

Around here, close to Halloween, folks with a black cat, keeps them close at home. So your ok with who took little willow. How is the attitude about spay/neutering over there, we really push it here. Too many kittens surface every spring/summer from irresponsible cat owners and feral cats.

Yes I have nine cats. 4 come inside and out at will through a cat door. The other five are considered feral, they don't like the inside. I do have a heated cat condo for them. And a filtered water fountain for drinking.

Alls well that ends well then.

I would persist with informing the CPL, her real owner, who will love her very very much and miss her a great deal and be worrying ,too ought to have every chance of being reunited with a missing pet.

Our number nine cat appeared about 2 months ago, followed one of the others from out of the woods.
He kept staying around, told him, (could see the goods) if you continue coming over then snip snip.
And he kept hanging out. So I made the appointment with the Vet. And that very morning after 3 days of not seeing him, he appeared, off to the vet. He is a very friendly loving cat, even allows me to clip his nails. There are no flyers around for him. He is a about a year + or minus old. He likes to come inside and finally the hissing from the others has died down to once in a while. Would love to see him actually play with one of them, time will tell I guess.
