I never thought I'd agree with David Cameron

I think we need to get shot of the EU red tape, but we still need to keep them as kind of friends.
"Kind of Friends", because that is all they are at the moment, but I guess if we were to leave, (doubt it would ever happen), they would stick the knife in, big time.

As for the so called renegotiation Cameron is on about?
He might as well talk to the trees, he would get more response.

 

Countries such as Norway do very well without having the EU shackles on them. They're in the EEC but not the EU. I know they don't need the EU financially as they're quite oil-rich, but they don't have the headache we and other soft EU countries have... We also don't subscribe to the ban for (3??) years on immigrant from newly-joined EU countries, which the likes of Spain took up.

If its correct, and if I interpreted it correctly, we give the EU almost twice what we get back from them, whereas the poorer mostly Eastern European members get a lot more out than they put in.

 

Have you met him? Get beyond the "you can call me Dave" media persona and the truth is very different. Nothing nor nobody was getting in the way of his ambition. And I don't think that he's that bright either.

If I had to vote for a Tory, much as I disagree with a lot of his beliefs it would probably be David Davis - I do believe that he is straight, and he has a grasp of life in the hard lane.

So, how about these for qualifications for politics;

You must have done manual work for two years.
You must have done six months full time charitable work.
You must have worked (properly, political researcher does not count) for ten years
You must have served as an MP for at least one and a half terms before holding ministerial office.
For your first term as an MP you will live in an MP's hostel and receive minimum wage. No external income can be touched by you or your family (unless your spouse works). Staff will come from the hostel pool of aides/assistants.
You will sign a contract agreeing to the state receiving 60% of any book deals, public speaking fees, guest lecture deals etc after you leave politics for life.

 

So there coming here to work, where are the jobs, how many have we got unemployed

 

As Union with Scotland (1706) was before the Treaty of Utrecht (1713), does that mean if they gain independence and everything is shared out that Scotland will get about 20% of Gibraltar?
