Went to the Lizzard a few years ago, they`d had 6 weeks drought before we`d arrived. From the day we arrived to the day we left it p`d down non stop.:D:dbgrtmb: Never, ever, had a problem at Crantock though.

6 weeks is not a drought.

I went to the area around the lizard also, plus lands end.
Its a shame really as my memories of the place are low cloud and constant rain.
I'm sure that's not representative of the place.
But it still sticks in my mind.

Sorry Pete, but anything over 3 dry days in England you are in a drought situation. Here in Wales we have LOTS of water to bathe in, do our laundry, flush our toilets, sell to the parched English.lol lol lol:hapfeet::hapfeet::hapfeet: You want your watering can filled?:coffee::coffee::dbgrtmb:

At least when they charge us the same as you for water when we get a meter, we will be getting better value for money.:WINK1:

Dai - you appear to have fallen for the bs that our water suppliers want us to believe to justify higher charges!!!!

Must admit though that whenever I visit the home of pasties it always rains at some point.......

Walking around the village today I saw kerria, a dahlia, a sunflower, geraniums (perlagoniums), roses, hebes and a parsnip in bloom, honeysuckle buds bursting into leaf, and cattle out in the pasture (it's dry and there's grass).

Dwr Cymru used to charge more for water in Snowdonia than they did when they sold it to Liverpool, that always got my goat.

In the garage earlier and came across my Pleiones which are starting to come into life.
So I've just potted them up and placed them in the cool bedroom.
Should have a few of these in about a month now.................

That's a month or two early really, but I didn't want the bulb to use all its energy up blooming as four pseudobulbs last year has given me eleven flowering sized ones this year, plus another eight babies too!
