Thank you, waqas, I have a better shot but with nearly 4,000 photos on Photobucket, even my great organisation takes a lot of effort to find something in my 20 sub-folders (flowers, my garden, country life, etc). The 'vase' is a ballustrade with a pot sitting on top of it ... I have four like that, neat, huh? :)

I'd like to see a pic when you do it, Waqas. Will you put your Mandevillea on it? Mine is a concrete one with a metal spike coming out of the top and bottom (obviously for going into the tiles below and for the placa on top. I've just sunk it a few inches into the soil but the cats still manage to topple one of them on the odd occasion. k-l The spike at the top is handy for the clay pot staying on top.

OK Homebase, B&Q never had any Wisterias in stock.

I got a email today from Crocus offering 25% off so I went ahead and purchased:

1 x Wisteria floribunda ''Kuchi-beni'' (Japanese wisteria (Syn. Wisteria Lipstick )) £19.99
1 x Wisteria floribunda ''Multijuga'' (Japanese wisteria (syn. W. Macrobotrys)) £19.99

Delivery Charge £5.99!!!

Total with 25% was £35.98, £17.98 per Wisteria of my choice, I am happy with that!

Here's some examples of the "second flowering" you get with wisterias.
The blooms are rather straggly and sparse, it seems hardly worth the effort. I usually take them off. At the moment, it's like "The Day of the Triffids" every day I'm removing dozens of side-shoots from places where I don't want them, that have appeared over-night.
