    And I must apologise to pete also ... now that I look back, you gave me this name Arctostaphylos (Bearberry or Manzanita) in the other ID thread, and I am waiting on the people who have the shrub to return from England to answer some questions regarding it, in particular the blooms.

    I notice in my book it is allied to the Arbutus and the blooms are identical.

    Now, pete, I will have to continue to disagree with you on roders' plant :D ... it is definitely Pernettya mucronata IMHO ... the leaves on your link look nothing like it. [​IMG]

    I have had Pernettya and David and geoffhandley seem positive with the ID ?????

    Cant help it LoL, they dont look right to me, I think this is a que for roders to go get more pics, a closeup of the berries, the stems etc.
    If you can't be botherd roders then thats OK.
    It just means you will never know for S U R E . :D

    For starters the stems are both GREEN.
