    Interesting.
I cannot be sure whether it is animal or vegetable.
    They are so smooth.
No evidence of segments..legs, mouth parts, bottom or wings.
Seems to have a head...but is it?
Been surfing www but got no where. Sorry.

Maybe in a day or 2 they will change.

I don't think they are Vine Weevil larvae as when I have found them they are usually a C shape and have a dark coloured head unless these are at the very early stage of development before they get to the C shape stage. Also they are usually amongst the roots of the wilted plants they have noshed on not round the edge of a flower container with a healthy plant in it.

When I first saw them I thought they were some sort of plant seed:scratch:

Took some more pics, looking like they're gunna be animal more than plant. I'm thinking now that they could be woodlice. You can see the bodies taking shape on the 2 top rhs - top pic. Tried to crop the pic as much as i could without losing detail. I want to get rid of them but I as also want to see what they turn into :th scifD36: PSX_20170926_125745.jpg 82620171341.jpg 826201713545.jpg

Thank you Sonya. Really clear pics.
                    Fascinating.
                    Now very clearly animal.
Developing wings and legs by the look of it.
Head has come off on one.
Jury is still out on what they will be.
Do keep us posted with progress.

@Sonya what is that under the pound coin in your photo? Could it be part of a broken nest?
