    I've only just got rid of last years pumpkin on some poor unsuspecting soul that said, "I'd like to try curried pumpkin".
    Needless to say they didn't expect quite so much. :D

    I grew an 8' tall walking stick cabbage a few years ago. Leaves fed us and the rabbit and I still have the walking stick somewhere!

    These are one of the most popular cabbages here, take up so little space but folk have rows and rows of them. As I understand, they live for several years and you just go and take leaves off as and when you need them.

    They make the infamous Portuguese Caldo Verde soup with this cabbage, as well as other cabbages. Here is a quite "interesting" translation on how to make the soup ...
