Hi Pal,This is the result of the wiring after Mr Kandy took your advice..He couldn't get a small bag of the light coloured quick set Morta mix so had to get the darker stuff and some red cement dye. Once it drys out it won't look so obvious and I can always stand a plant in front of it.Much better than a seat.

The hole in the plaster work just needs filling in and making good and then it is on to painting the skirting boards white, then the walls in Pale Gold and finally all the paintwork inside and outside all needs painting white and then it is finished [IMG] :D

I think a little chalk dust on a cloth, rubbed over it wnen dry, will tone it down quite nicely.. [IMG]

Pal,Mr Kandy used Poly filler dust and this is the result.I said what about the round bit but he says he wants that to leave that as it will blend in better with the brick work but I reckon it still looks too dark

Thank you though for your advice,a great help [IMG]

Cracking job Mr Kandy!...got any old bricks that you could drill and make a little brick dust and sprinkle over it.. [IMG] Just tips you tend to pick up over the years.

He used 'No Nails' but because the wall was uneven and not dead flat so had to use the nails to pull the skirting board in towards the walls, don't ask me I am just the messenger :D

PS we don't think you are being nosey, because if you are then so am I [IMG] :D

We'll wait Kandy, until you post your thread. ;)

Just what size nails did Mr Kandy actually use on that poor 4" round edge skirting anyway?? :D

Ten out of Ten Mr Kandy! That is a very neat and clean piece of work all round.. [IMG] Shiney is right about the tile work..Excellent!

I see you are using a heater.... Be careful not to dry the plaster too fast in case it cracks
    ;)

Mrs Pal wants one BTW!..."Are you Free?" :D

Sorry Pal missed your post about the nails. You must have posted while I was uploading photos [IMG]

We had a builder in originally to do the dwarf wall because Mr Kandy new that what with work commitmentsit would have taken longer. Also he had a man in before Christmas I think it was to do the plastering because he hadn't got the confidence to do such a large area.Everything else though he has done himself. The heater has only been on a couple of times over the winter and he wouldn't have it on while the plaster was drying as he likes to let things dry naturally. [IMG]

The manholecover is the second one,he ripped out the first one because he wasn't happy with it but he is alright now.I expect I will end up down there if I misbehave [IMG] :D

Thanks Shiney he got there in the end with a much better cover ;) [IMG]
