:thumb: In our early married days we used to have an Anglia, a yellow one...!!! :D If you were a passenger in the back when it rained the foot wells filled with water. It would slosh back & forth as you were going along & before you knew it your feet were wet...!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

This 1962 Ford Classic 116E used to be the love of my life, until I turned 70 when I decided crawling under and over it was getting a bit much on the old body (mine not the car) Road tax was nil and insurance about £100. Used to pull a trailer tent to classic car shows around the South and South West for quite a few years.

Now I'm quite happy with this Mazda2 diesel, road tax £35, insurance about £160, runs for weeks on a tank full

I fail to see the attraction of some of these highly modified heaps, leaving yards of rubber on the road at junctions in residential areas and exhausts that could wake the dead. Just plain stupid to my way of thinking. What honestly is the point of something like a Porsche Cayenne Turbo on british roads, especially when it's daily outing is the school run, and the only time it goes off road is to park on the pavement, (try living near a junior or infants school!!)
