    Blackthorn, I think it was you that wanted seed from my calycanthus back last summer.
    As you wern't around I collected the seed anyway and have sown some of it.
    So if you still want it, it may have to come in the form of seedlings, if they germinate.

    Pete, goodness what a good memory you have and thanks so much for the offer, but I have just sown some seed of Calycanthus Occidentalis from the RHS seed distribution scheme that arrived this morning.
    The RHS germination guide says to cold stratify for 4 weeks and then keep at 10 - 16 degrees. They could take up to 1 year to germinate! I will let you know how they get on.
