Subject to decent weather, my current plans are to watch the eclipse here (@Zigs will know where)

Reckon the tide should be something like in above pic when eclipse at max.

Taking the day off on Friday, so I can watch it at leisure from my garden.

Forecast for Friday here is currently saying light cloud, wind is from the north west though, so that could mean we get some breaks in the cloud cover on this side of the country. :fingers crossed:

Current forecast for Friday morning here is cloudy all morning ... until just after the eclipse finishes.

Then of course, a bright sunny afternoon to follow. :wallbanging:

It's forecast to be cloudy here as well. So it will make the dullness even deeper!

On the up side - there won't be the chance of damaging your eyes. :blue thumb:

I was intending to snatch a short break away and watch it from a Dorset beach but not bothering as it's forecast to be cloudy there tomorrow morning, but there's a better chance of seeing it at home if only that sunshine was an hour earlier

Input your location for an animation of the eclipse http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/uk/oxford Between 9:00 and 10:00 looks like the best bit

Can you damage your camera by filming it?

Let's put it this way, the special glasses used to look safely at the Eclipse are 100,000 times darker than ordinary sunglasses:dunno::snork:
