Johns design was best imo. Once again someone who knows more about design and nothing really about plants wins. Very disappointed.

You're a natural John....I'm not just being biased but IMHO your design is what gardens are all about,the planting and the plants,done well they need nothing else

 

Well done John, if you were nervous it really didn't show. You got my vote for the winning design, still great achievement to get so far. Hope you had a few jars to celebrate becoming a celebrity.

the other two were more for a office/hotel location that you would find in the City , not very practical or user friendly , and I hope they have enough space for wheelchairs etc especially with the one that won.
Looked really pretty on paper and I will watch later in the year when its actually rolled out to see if it transfers from paper to reality.

My first thoughts when seeing the winner was, it's probably a low cash outlay and easy to put together. It was also uninspiring and repetitive in both plants and layout. John, they don't recognise a decent garden when they see one and I think Christine was probably won over by the other two judges. I think she prefers the softer lines of a more traditional style of garden.
