Oh come on, they must do, that Chinese bloke on the packet said so, he also said lemon eucalyptus was really useful, not found one for it yet.

:snork: Is that the same bloke that sold me some canna seed that was supposed to produce variegated leaves?? Pffffft! At least the cucamelons are a novelty here, like Sungold cherry tomatoes. It gives one a definite edge when serving apero nibbles;)

I don't wanna be that guy that comes round with the exciting nibbles!

If they turn out underwhelming, I shall pickle the disappointment out of them.:)

How are these doing now? Wyevale (formerly Garden Centre Group) have loads in their 50p seed sale. Have I wasted 50p?

Had my first one today slightly sour/lime taste, the skins are also quite tough too.
Might try halving them and putting them in the top of a corona bottle instead of lime :heehee:

I noticed one of my pot grown plants forming a tuber, its got quite a lot of fruit on it and the lower leaves were going yellow, so I've stopped watering it in the hope the fruit might ripen into something a bit more tasty.

The ones in the greenhouse were doing really well and I have picked just over a 10oz in total weight.. The ones in the poly tunnel are covered in lots of small fruits but not filling out..! The ones in the greenhouse were fine when it was really hot but since it has cooled down not a lot happening so I am thinking that maybe the poly tunnel ones are too cold..!!

I use them in salsa, gives it a very authentic flavour..

Now the $64,000 question is , how many of us are going to grow them next year ?

              Me!

I'll sow them all, car boot them cheaply to get my money back and try just a couple myself.

P.S. Do saved seeds come true?

I persevere with all kinds of plants, but I dont think this will figure very high on my list next year.

After all the hype and expectations they have turned out a load of rubbish. I might try a cucamelon wine but these are very disappointing
