I've ordered seeds for these. They sound ace.

The seller says you can lift and store the roots before the first frost, so I plan to grow mine in large pots sunk into the ground, so that I can just dig the whole pot out, keeping the roots intact.

Make a cane wig-wan in a border & cover it with some netting and let them scramble up that.. ;)

Sowed mine 24th of April (greenhouse heated at night) and they took about 2 weeks to pop their heads but they are tiny, its like transplanting a petunia or snapdragon from a seed tray, still small but I have moved them onto 2 inch pots , will try and take a photo tomorrow.

Brought 20 seeds but only sowed 12 and about 10 of the 12 seeds germinated, might sow the other 8 as well and then store them for next year, I think you store the tuber as you would with a Dahlia?

I've got 4 plants in the polytunnel. With the recent sunny weather they've started to grow quite well:) They do seem to like plenty of moisture, though.

I just checked again and all 12 of the seeds sown had germinated :spinning:

And just sown the remaining 11 in the packet :)

They do seem slow to move on. I repotted 2 weeks ago and seem to be sulking.

I potted on a few seedlings and they put on a bit of weight very quickly... Just need to watch them over the next week to see how they continue
