Improving soil for carrots?

    Why not add lots of well rotted compost - fork it in to help create a good soil structure and forget about the carrots this year. Grow some french beans and peas instead.

    I'm growing french beans and peas in other beds. I might stick to my Parmex carrots this year!

    Because my carrots were a disaster last year I thought a raised bed is a good idea, now the seeds have germinated I am sure I have done the right thing. I will put some pics on soon.
