Alys is a sweetie but appears to be a little shy which makes her seem so very enchanting.I'm sure she will find her feet and feel a little bit more comfortable in front of the camera as time goes by and as for her thriftyness well we can all do with some money savings tips.Hel.xxx.

Watched GW last night and have to say she does grow on you, but the other two are now driving me bonkers-I am getting driven mad by staged conversations they keep having between themselves though.

I think the other way about Carol-her enthusing manner about plants is what makes me really like her-maybe because I talk about each individual plant like that. Everything to me is "gorgeous, and stunning and wonderful". I still want Carol as the head presenter.

And Sarah Raven is fast becoming a bit of fave with me.

Alys did much better last night, perhaps she is growing in confidence, it was much more a natural performance - and she doesn't mind pulling up those great big shrubs and getting all the muck on her jumper - yes she is better than I first thought. :)

I've started it - it's also been in the last two weeks of the Mail - which is where I came across it.

The only thing I've learnt at the moment is how to build and run a wormery - and I'm not sure that my wife will be happy with me doing that.

It's a beautiful book - and what I've read this far is well written.

More when I finish it :)

Right I've ordered the book now :thumb:

I had a £10 voucher for Amazon so I went and had a look and it was £10 but I could buy another book with it for £16 so I got free postage as well so that's 2 gardening books for £6 of my hard earned :) not bad as Alys's book is £16.99 :thumb:

I don`t think you missed anything LoL, but Alys will end up on Trinny and Susannah anyday now and Toby Buckland will end up telling the story in Ballamory if he gets anymore fake.

That guy on the allotment ( not Joe Swift the other Cockney Guy) he should be running it now-what a star
