    Yeah its on Fridays but that wasn't the first its been on a while :) Think it started the beginning of Sept as they had special progs in August

    I've finished with her book for the moment, so here's my thoughts about it.

    It is a beautiful book - philosphy, practical advice, and inspiration in roughly equal measures.

    The text is well written and balanced with a good amount of pictures - but not so many it gets the balance wrong.

    There are practical sections on plants and how to build a wormery (for example). I wouldn't say the information is complete by any stretch - but I don't think it's meant to be. It;s meant to approach things from a thrifty point of view.

    It is more of a present for the gardener in your life than a serious gardening manual.

    P.S. If you look on the Amazon website you can search inside the book and get a feel for what it looks like.

    I've started reading it and I think it's great. I've learnt loads so far. I think for a beginner on a tight budget its ideal. I think Brian has nailed it on the head

    It is indeed high critical acclaim and a very nice review.

    Thanks to for the Amazon tip too,it does give a handy overview.

    It was advertised in the local English paper last week. General good review ..... for beginners ....
