Funny name, though - Jake. Used to mean a "night-soil" bucket.... And where I come from there was a company called Jakeman's that made sweets. We rather desperately hoped the two occupations weren't connected!!!

Never seen the film but I know what it is about, lets hope he is a very good and convincing actor for all you ladies` sake :D ;)

Back to the thread, I overheard my lovely neighbour on the mobile yesterday discussing their forthcoming holiday. This will be their second one this year, the first was skegness, this one is abroad.

Not bad for a couple of dole dossers with six kids, think I will ask them how it was when they get back as I and all the other taxpayers have paid for it

Hope it p***** down all the time :D :D :D

Come on, we can do better than rain. How about a nice dose of "Bali Belly" for the parents?

Very good [IMG] that would teach them.

There are legitimately unemployed people in the country but these two see their kids as meal tickets and are clearly screwing the system.

I could well imagine this family being the subject of a holiday from hell programme.

I do hope nothing happens to their trampoline while they are away [IMG]

Sorry, I must take you to task about your use of the expression 'dole dossers'. *I* am unemployed..actually I am on Incapacity Benefit because of poor health. AND I live on a Council Estate!! I was rehoused because of harrassment by the landlady in my previous accommodation, as I stated earlier in this discussion.
My holidays consist of going to Italy twice a year, as my partner and I have a house near Livorno. I also go to the Edinburgh Festival. We can afford it by cutting back on other things.

I apologise if I have offended you leonora, but in my opinion not all unemployed people stand under the same umbrella.

    .

Once again I apologise for any offence I may have caused.
