Good and less good varieties turn up in garden centres, florists and diy sheds throughout the year. Just keep your eyes open and nab the ones that take your fancy. Growing from seed is a tedious business with uncertain results. Chilterns used to sell the seed, but it needs to be very fresh. Most varieties are micro-propped nowadays and are not available as seed.

Thanks Dave. I'll have a snoop around B&Q tomorrow (it's the big one, the warehouse) and see what they have in their gardening department. I don't think their varieties are all that great, but I've got to pick up some paint for my room anyway so fingers crossed. :thumb:

Can someone confirm the difference between regular peace lillies and giant peace lilies? (and don't say one is bigger :D).

Thanks. I have now reached enlightenment. :D

Seriously, I had done a bit of Googleage but surprisingly there are no topics to be found. Other than the obvious difference of course, I was wondering whether there was anything else that is worth noting.

As far as I can remember the smaller Spath doesn't have such a strong scent as the larger ones otherwise there is not a lot of difference (apart from the size):)

Can anyone send me the link to a good seed supplier? I can't find any reputable sellers of Spathiphyllum floribundum.
