Walter Wallcarpet, over the years I have found that there is no "wonder cure" neither is there a "100% this will work option"

    In more detail.

    Additives:
Over the years there have been a whole variety of "wonder cures" and derivatives, including straw, magnets, news paper.
All have been claimed to work and g'tee crystal clear water for anyone that buys the product.

    Perfect recipe:
Have oxygenators and marginals and your pond will have clear water all the time.
That does not work either, how many and which plants? some folk have fish, which type of fish?

    In Summary
In this situation I will not say "you pay your money, you take your choice" since I have found that what works for one person does not work for another. If there was a "perfect recipe" for a pond then it would have been published years ago, the reason it hasn't is, it does not exist.
All I can say is enjoy your pond, try what you like, and if it works for you, good luck.
