    Yes - someone in the transport business, or seeking a business opportunity. Sitting on the ferry is a bit of a downer, and I don't know how a transport company would cost that - not using any fuel, but clocking up the driver's time, and the vehicle is sitting stationary, plus the ferry ticket price of course.

    Yes, various people have tried this but your every day 'man and van' doesn't find it viable as the ferry is so expensive. Other firms will want to fill a container or such like, so it could be up to three months before we see what's requested.

    The ferry here will cost anything from approx. £200 to £550 return for a car and passenger depending on the time of year. The ferry journey is 3 and 3/4 hours, the sea cat (summer season only) is 2 and 3/4 hours. These sail either to Liverpool or Heysham.
