    Thanks everyone [IMG]

Tiggs&oscar, something will turn up and you are absolutely spot on about companies not replying, after all,you have taken the time out to apply and a response either way is common courtesy. Look upon it as their loss.

    Keep trying and good luck.

and fingers and toes crossed too.

Have them crossed for you too Tiggs&Oscar. Companies have the same bad manners over here as well about not answering applications if they don't want you. I've heard that from so many people. They should put themselves in that position and see if they would like it.

Crossing everything for you now Pip - that's great news.

Thanks Kedi, what is really annoying is that the two companies that didn't respond both specified no phone enquiries and apply in writing. So obviously they don't want to waste time on the phone and can't be bothered to use e-mail applications. Well, that's fine by me but if I have to spend money on sending a resume at least reply to me.

V tempted to march into both premises and request my CV's back before they use the smart folders for their own office stuff!

Maybe I'll just marry a footballer. [IMG]

Bad luck, Pip. Wasn't meant to be, perhaps! Maybe something better's just around the corner... so better luck next time.

Sorry about that, Pip: you should definitely try again. As we say in Italy: "those who stop, are lost (without hope)"

Joined this thread a bit late but sorry to hear it went pear-shaped for you Pip.

It's the rail network's loss and you are meant for better things.

Been rock bottom several times mself but stayed focused and in the end it came right.

Be strong. There are a lot of people here sending you good Karma, including me.

    Pip,

What a rubbish job that was. Thank God you didn't get it - terrible hours, horrible people and don't get me started on the pay!

There's a better one on the way. [IMG]
