Its a common misconception that Georgism has got something to do with George Orwell but not so.

This is where most of the ideologies break down. They can only work properly in small communities where everyone knows everyone else. That way the individual can be seen to be working for the betterment of the community.

Ziggy, the problem with Georgism is is similar to the problem with Animal Farm. The perception of the value of the land is subjective as well as objective. An acre of fertile arable land is of more value than an acre of rocky fellside - except to a Herdwick :heehee:. Some are more equal than others.

I'm with longk, politics is a no no!

Here in Shineyland everyone is equal. :dbgrtmb:

By the early hours of this morning, I certainly had 'two legs bad'. They didn't work properly, and in fact I think they must have had a row or something because not only had they stopped working properly, but they were clearly making no attempt at all to cooperate with each other.

Ideal but NOT everyone is EQUAL

Not ignoring your posts (been away)

Everyone has to do the same thing, have the same thing, and same available food, clothes, flat to live in, no cars, etc, AND DO NOT QUESTION IT, You may not think for yourself

EXCEPT for those who conduct your life , tell you What you MUST do, MUST Comply with

Do as I say but not as I do
What is YOURS is MINE, BUT WHAT is MINE is MY OWN

All your friends may NOT be your friends, they may be the ones who get a little more, by telling tales
Each Multi Flat has a MINDER, that watches and reports. Just make sure you do not invite the wrong kind of Friend down
Even play the WRONG MUSIC, or listen to the WRONG radio station

Do not even think, about sorting the Minder out as it will be you who is sorted

            etc etc

Just take a look at the current news on NORTH KOREA
Do you really belive 20million people genuinly wept and cried felt sorry for their MASTER

NO they dare not do anything else, but show their heart felt emotion that their leader has gone, (they dare not even mention it behind closed doors incase a member of the family is one of the Clipes)

I can not explain it much more mate, other than the present EU Brussels tells us what to do and Little Britain quakes and complies
I do not think I have seen one crash helmet worn in ITALY
or any smoke free bar in SPAIN
