The food definitely made up for the fact that you cut your feet to shreds on the beach.

My best meal there was a lamb dhansak curry ( in the days before I swore off meat) -all cooked on open ovens and grills. Calypso coffees at the cafe down the road from the villa, kids up till all hours. Its a fantastic holiday destination and somewhere definitely on the list for this year.

Oh, and to get back to spring, I have proof-one of my cats just brought in her first mouse of the year ( shudder).

Isn't it wonderful to see all the shoots and buds :D

Looking round the garden - lilac has tiny green buds, rose bushes are sprouting,
then I can see grape hyacinths (muscari), aubretia, honeysuckle - oh can't wait for
a few more sunny days then the gardens will all be in bloom.

yes i remember that smell of jasmine walking down the carabeo road :)really nice .

i hope we have a good summer over here in England this year because we cannot go to Nerja this year , the Dog is to old to leave with any one now .(to many accidents i am afraid to say).

anyway back to our spring gardens, i have just got myself a new clematis from the garden centre ,it was reduced because it had no label , but it has some new growth coming through ,and it is in a goodsize pot with plenty of roots coming out the bottom of the pot, so for 3.99 i could not resist it and planted it straight away, so i will have a surprise when it flowers .

also last year my friend gave me a bunch of bluebells dug up from her garden, i wanted some in my garden , because they always remind me of my mom who is no longer with me , they were her favourite flower and i am so glad because they are sprouting up this year, even now the green leaves are about 6 inches high .

I bought a couple of late flowering clematis last autumn for £1.00 each at a garden centre. They are in small pots, but were reduced due to the season. Both were wintered in their pots (amazed they didn't get killed by the frosts) and have now been planted out and are showing loads of new buds.

    Love bargains like that :)

I am in Kenilworth rpdiy so guess the weather is pretty much like yours. A glorious day! In the greenhouse I was snug as a bug, then did a load of weeding and tidying in general. Trouble is... the first sign of a bit of nice weather and I go mad. My back tells me Im going to pay for this ! :dh:
