Is the rep & points thing fair?

You can provide me with statistical evidence of this?

 

What about a vote then? One in which no comments or feedback are allowed-just a simple do you like it? or don`t you like it? Can we vote without you knowing who voted for what?

Those who don`t want to say anything openly won`t so you can`t prove a negative with this, I don`t think.


Daisees-please can we have some names of the games-we can google them and try them whilst we wait patiently for you.

As Claire points out this would be difficult. My observation is from pms from members and from using the site on a daily basis and noteing the declineing post rate from longstanding gardening contributors.

Further As i dont have acess to the admin area, hard statistics would be rather difficult!!!!!

 

Fair enough-but-as you know I am picky and not up to full speed on it yet so please bear with me; if we have them switched on by default(do we? I don`t know, I`m not au fait with all of this), and in trying to work out by ourselves how they work, that would contribute toward the frequency of usage "vote" I think. Or would it? I don`t know now-I`m lost with all of this.


I see your response and do understand your frustration, but your answer is therefore "no"-no vote then?

It`s no good Pal, I`ve just resurfaced and the only thing I have managed to do is do something with my postbit-now it`s back to the left.

Can`t find my disable rep points switch in the edit options place what happens when I change the "skin" on the forum.


I can`t do it Pal-I just can`t do it ( if there was a smiley that showed despair lay down on the floor head down banging fist, now`s the time I would use it). I`m no good at this stuff-I own up, I admit it.

 

It`s just got worse. The postbit is back on the left for all the above posts but the one I just did is on the right-someone is doing this to me on purpose I`m sure of it.

Then I would suggest that your statement "many of 'the local comunity' whilst granted not redgistering discontent openly will simply just not post as often full stop." is anecdotal and personal opinion.

As you so rightly point out, I DO have access to the admin panel and can see how often the thanks and reps are being used.

I'm sorry to not be compliant to the opinions of the 3 or 4 that are posting here, and I do understand your complaints but the facts are that there are more people quietly using these features than are complaining about them.

LOL - 'fraid I'm in the same boat, Claire! I too played around with the choice of skin and ended up with all the 'stuff' on the left again! And I can't change it back. Think there must be a bug in the system so don't panic! I'll have a word with the techy guy tomorrow, ok?

And no, we're NOT going mad! Well, not yet, anway!

 

Jeepers - that was spooky! I just made that post and the stuff in MY post was top right again, but not anybody else's! When I did a refresh, my post when back to the same as everyone else's.

Now I KNOW it's a system bug!
