Is this illegal?

    The problem with Bluebells is more cross polination with the Spanish ones grown in gardens. The RHS put out a request that people living near Bluebell woods consider not growing cultivars that could cross with our native ones.

    I think I have also read this on a plant pot once. Really made me laugh. What happens if it self propogates will the new plant be in trouble if I don't destroy it?? I think these laws are maybe aimed more at people trying to make money out of plants rather than your average gardener.

    I've read that certain heucheras cannot be sold without paying royalities to the breeders

    I may be wrong, but thats the way I understood it

    It's true dim. Some breeders create flowers that sterile so to speak they won't produce pollen so once it dies you have to buy another. Hybrids like that are bad for insects though.
