    No meteorlogical oohs and ahhs tonight then. Just humidity cloud and probably thunder. Would have liked to have seen the blood moon tonight, buggerrrr :mute:

      Since we live in the open plan kitchen dining area which is not a kick in the ass from the back door to the garden ...this be us....lovely and cool in this blistering heat.

        I have not seen rain like it here for more than 10 years, the areas around the front and back doors were flooded for a while before they drained.

        One thing that I learned when the holes for the concrete posts for the fencing were dug is that I have sandy soil which is apparently the norm for this area, so at least the flooded areas drained quite well.

          Kevin, ok! We now accept your powers to make it rain but can you call a halt soon? Another day of heavy rain is appropriate ....and I have actually enjoyed getting wet and so has the garden .....but can we have a return to summer? Ok, not too hot but dry and warm again? :)

              I remember my father and others saying. The heat in Britain is different from that abroard, due possibly to us being an island and the heated atmosphere is moist. Whereas for instance desert heat is so much drier. Dad served as a desert rat during WW2

                    I know we are having some banter with Kevin but a few minutes ago I found something that made me more happier than a Lottery win. I rescued a poor Bee that was being battered by the high wind, with legs and wings going in all directions; I picked him/her up and went into my summerhouse where it was quiet. Now after a few minutes the poor thing picked up and off he/her went with a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
