Was waiting with baited breath for it's arrival as well.
Just as well it was not April 1st, otherwise someone might have thought it was a trick.

 

Oooh, I do hate it when that happens! Your sons will have been as disappointed as you are, al (and I can only imagine your frustration!)

Still, these things are sent to try us and, if it's worth having, it is worth waiting just that little bit longer for: after all, you've waited this long before you were able to order it.

our 4 year old is very upset that his "surprise" didn't arrive, he's been excited all day!

Hey ho, it's a tad annoying but it's no biggie. It's like waiting in all day for the gas man and he gives you a time betwixed 9 and 5, you wait in all day and nothing comes..........

Could of took the little ones out instead, but we played in the garden!

 

Awww...his disapointment will soon wain come Monday....his little face will be a picture

 

... especially if that picture is captured with him astride Humphrey

 

I thought of this as well!! The kids will want to sit on his back!!

Went past the shop I mentioned earlier in the thread that's local to us and they have 3 different sized giraffes outside, a large rhino and 2 elephants!!!

 

Any local news reports about recent escapes from local zoos?

 

Where a outs is it bilbo, we have friends just outside burton. If its not too far from them, next time we visit I might pop in!

 

Its in a town called Stapleford al, Google maps says its around 30mins drive from Burton on Trent??

 

I saw one of those in the junk/reclamation yard beside the A39 at Carhampton in West Somerset and thought it was one of a kind

 

Seems the little 'blighters' are spreading , it could be an invasion
